This makes me afraid to open up my comp again, but also very thankful that it doesn't gather much dust 'round here.

I think a mini-vac would be better providing its earthed. Personally I wouldn't want to be standing in front of that when you blasted air into it. You might not be able to see afterwards ><

And i've seen bad, but not to that extent. I've seen a computer with a layer of dust about 2cm up from the bottom of the case.

I opened up my comp the other week, it barely had any dust in it at all (a small amount on the heatsink and PSU but other then that fine. Considering it sits about an inch from a carpet I was pretty impressed.

I can see if there is dust in my case, so I love clear cases.

Some of those heat sinks aren't very old. I can't see how they got that much dust on them unless they live in like a dirt factory.
