"Fees will be demanded for extra services that are now under development, such as an advanced filter system to protect email accounts from junk mail." (extra services.. not actually logging into msn). also i got tht email ur talkin about liek 3 years ago.. i just deleted it.. and nothing has happened to me. ( also tht link u sent us is over 7 years old lol.)
although msn was going some configuration yesterday. thats probly why u couldnt get on then. i couldnt either. but now i can ^_^.
this post will probly not help u much.. wat ur better doing is sending a email to msn askin them if ur account has been deleted or somthin like tht.

Okay lets do some troubleshooting.
----------------------
What is your internet provider?
It's obvious that you can access the web, but are there any sites that you have noticed you can't access?
Have you made any changes to your wireless and / or router configuration?
What operating system are you currently running on?
Is there anything you remember doing before it stopped working, or did it just stop?

I think a good one would be can you log in to your MSN account from a differnt PC?
has it ever worked since you got your PC back?

first off, i cant log into it from another pc, and i think that that kinda scraps pho's questions...

Tis why I asked as it whittles down the process, well have you tried a new password method? could be that something ahs caused them to close it.

i treid changin the pass word and that didnt make any difference, but for some reason, its workin on any vista comp, just not anythin that isnt vista
vista = ok
no vista = not ok
(incase im 2 hard 2 understand :p)

Use vista lol just kidding
are the versions of vista different?
Also have you set an option on vista version which may not be compaatbile i.e view setting with an XP one
Is it XP your problem client?

I'm not quite sure how it scraps my questions at all. Yeah okay, two of the questions are now irelevant but what happened to these?
-----
What is your internet provider?
It's obvious that you can access the web, but are there any sites that you have noticed you can't access?
Have you made any changes to your wireless and / or router configuration?
---
Neither of these questions have answers dependant on the PC your sitting on, apart from possibly DNS issues with the second question, but at the moment if you could just answer those questions we might be able to help you

Actually I remember once a mate having this problem
no one in the house could log on to it..
Chantelle changed a setting on the router
Dont ask me what though, something to do with ISP and a setting

It could be the MTU setting on the router, which might well be what your talking about. Certain ISP's recommend certain MTU sizes, if the program you are trying to use is not allocated enough bandwidth by your router then it can't connect to the servers it's looking for. This is the problem I believe Fazz is facing.
Another could be issues with his ISP's DNS servers, this is why I asked whether there were any websites that Fazz couldn't access that he normally would be able too.
But as Fazz has dismissed my questions, it hasn't really helped me to distingish between the two.

Yes I changed MTU to 1400 I think, that was AOL..
I think maybe Andy you suffer the same problem I do, I can teach and help people alot better face -2- face and over the phone etc, come writing detailed explination I cant convert to lehmans terms so easy so what I write ends up being abrupt and well too technical
So I suspect he hasnt got a clue what your saying, thats my expereince of these lol
from all of the questions its not conclusive as Andy says, I think if we establish whether he can connect
1) outside his household (XP or Vista)
2) You say you can connect via Vista is that in your own home?
Although pssible I would be surpsied if your DNS was wrong, 24 hours is a typical update time and if a server was wrong it should have cleared or alot of other people would be suffering. But you can of course manually use another one I guess..
Other than that actually write down the exact specific error message you recieve.
