50-70 :| Thats what my FPS is like when it's shit. I normally run at around 90fps.

I dont think JA allows much more than 90-95 I think there is a frame limiter

50-70 well tbh 8300 nvidia is NOT suitable for gaming really and will struggle on anything recent

There is a max FPS rate set by default on JKA. Although providing your graphics card can cope with it you can raise this limit. If I tone down the rendering with various settings I can achieve over 200 FPS with my graphics card.

I wouldn't recommend that anyone tries this unless you know what your doing. Also the human eye can only recieve a certain amount of frames per second therefore all efforts to get it any higher wouldn't be worthwhile (I can't remember the exact FPS).

For reference my graphics card = 512mb Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS.

I think with teh two eyes it is somewhere between 60-90.. not sure though.

I didnt realise you could unlock the Frame limiter.

Sometimes if you unlock frame limiters (not always) yuou can have like things either go fast and slow... basically they dont always work properly. I think GTA games you can turn them off

If you allow the game to run in 200 FPS straight off the bat your asking for trouble and you get a permenent "Connection Interupted" across the screen. I changed various settings that first allowed me to achieve that FPS for a start, and secondly that actually enabled me to play the game. The most important setting being cl_maxpackets which I had to run at 150+. It basically allows the server to communicate bigger packets to my client rather then a batch of smaller packets, thus allowing me to be able to play with that frame rate.

The bottom line is your right in saying that you can't play the game "properly" without disabling various aspects of gameplay.

did you unlock the FPS? problem is you can go okay but then things can chop as you get lag elsewhere..

60-90 fps on any game is great!

Do you have crysis any chance? what fps do you get on res/ settings?
