No, this is an american tradition from the 1600s when a group of natives made a huge feast for the new settlers of america. nothing to do w/ praying. Its just a tradition

Btw Darko we have turkey on Christmas too... it's just Tradition passed down from the pilgrems. infact... I had a turkey sandwich last week... I thought turkey was a year around food O_o lol anyway Yes tradition states that we have turkey on Thanksgiving but because some people just dont like turkey we usually have roast beef or a nice ham aswell. Did you know eating a honey ham on Christmas is a tradition aswell? Not an American one per say but it is a tradition. *ponders about the oddity of traditions* Anyway! Happy Thanks giving to anyone who might celebrate it

Oh yeah you can eat turkey any day you want.. Your right I just think um mostly people prefer other meats most of the time here.. you can get it though easy and as you say often have it in sandwiches..
Not had ham with christmas dinner, what we often have is pigs in blankets do you have them? thats like sausage wrapped in bacon.
