question about iPhone 2??

I wanna ask to the over seas more US guys who are probably more aware of when a release or next generation of the iPhone is coming out??

My phone Is due for new contract in new year.. basically the iPhone 1 has just been released here in UK.. I cannot deny it draws you in from the advert in its sleek look and interface..

However after digging not very deep at all its become apprarant of one major flaw:

It’s a total scam, save the mp3 player my phone previous to my last one was better with features, and now I realize today its astromonical prices…

So I was wondering does any body know about version 2 if its going to be any better?? As if so I would possibly hold out to see what it was like

or my other option is to get a FREE phoen which in teh phoen aspect is alot better and be considerably cheaper... then look at maybe a seperate mp3 player or just get a phone with a decent one and add a fat stick into it..

Just wondering if anyone had any inside info..???

I mean if they sorted out the thiungs it lacks it may be a much more appealing.

i havent heard anything about a second release of the iphone, and i doubt it will be any time soon, considering its only 5 months old. it took apple a year to reinstate the ipod nano, and that wasnt a huge over priced phone/mp3 player/video player etc. if its features ur looking for, u can jailbreak ur iphone to allow 3rd party apps to be installed. im considering doing this on my ipod touch, but i havent weighed the pros and cons and how risky it might be yet, so idk.

nice looking gadget, good UI

but

rubbish camera
No video recording so you cannot take it to yoru matches
No 3g (not really applicable to you)
No group SMS
No MMS at all
Stupid price
Awful tarriff

You might aswell get a better device for 1/4 of the price

Overall the iPhone will cost £1000 + for its tarriff.. excluding the poor minutes you will need to add on after the allocation has exceeded.

It wouldnt be such a bad bit of kit but the price is a scandelous rip off. Version 2 will have to step up a bit but they need to review prices I feel.

what grimm sed, its just rumors, the iphones still pretty new out here as well, the iphone 2(if there is one) wont be out for another year or so...

DONT JAIL BREAK OUT IPODS OR IPHONES

it voids the warranty and plus, apple just announced they will be supporting 3rd party apps for the iphone early 2008 (like February)

yeah thanks anyway

It appears things are not what it seems

yeah it wasnt applications

I like the idea of what its trying to do to incorporate thinsg together

The design is vibrant and the UI looks good

shame about whats underneath the bonnet

and of course the price ..

Sureley even Apple relgious types would see this as a bit of a scandle..?
