trsut meon this one: quit the game, shut down ur comp, kick/punch ur machine (not too hard) then boot up again. if that doesnt work then idk. ive gotten messages at the point your talking about and this guy spyder told me to kick the machine, and it worked. just dont like punch it off the desk and thru the floor, just give it a good whack.

Its all good until you break something inside, then its screwed completely. In all computers there are componants that can break with even the slightest knock.

You shouldnt kick your computer, the RAM and GPUs are very sensitive to movement, you might find teh slightest knock results in intermittent beeps rather than a starting PC, not to mention the Hard drives are very delicate, you may not do damage immediately but you could cause damage which may deteriorate hence a terminal problem.
What appears to be your problems

Who comes up with the advice
I mean logically do they seriously think that hitting it and kicking it solved a problem..
Dont get me wrong I am hardly the most expereinced computer person here and still realtively fresh so cannot give good answers the best of times but explicit bad advise which could cause real damage is not cool.

if you run win XP, use the system restore tool to roll your system back to a time when everything worked properly.
If you dont use Win Xp you can do this manually by just checking all files modified before a certain date. If the problems just come up its probably something recent youve downlodaded/changed thats causing the problems.
Also consider getting some anti, viral, anti adware and spybot removal programs if you havent got them already. Im sure some of the tech gurus here could give you better advice on which are decent, but personally I find Spybot- Search and Destroy, Adaware Pro, Avast Antivirus and a Zonealarm Firewall more than adequate for a home PC.
It could be something as simple as a download thats corrupted some files causing your driver information to change that would explain why its causing UI error as logically that would suggest an issue with your graphics drivers or settings to me. So you can try see if you still have all the latest drivers for your hardware and reset the settings of JA to default by un-installing and re-installing it.
As to hitting machinery to make it work.... dumn idea unless you can afford to buy a new one and it only is ever a short term fix as such actions will cause more problems in the long term. If all of the above doesnt work... then formatting and doing your PC from scratch will more than likly fix the problem just make sure you back up any data you want to keep.

plus if u ever do format it, next time when you are setting up, partition your drive so that when you install windows you can setup the remainder of the drive to store your programs, or music videos game etc... then when you format you dont have to keep reinstalling these things (accept registry entries on programs although its not always critical)
