I always want to buy one of those custom sabers, but I never wake up and feel like today is the right day to spend $200 on a lightsaber that will sit on my desk. Maybe I should make one!

I have to admit that I am secretly wanting an "engineer workshop" so I can build metal pieces (everything from nuts, bolts, to plates, chassis, and pretty much anything I can design in CAD). For now, my best bet would be to aim lower and go for a
lightsaber made in wood
