TL;DR: A Star Wars fan named Riley Howell, who died while helping his classmates escape from an active shooter, has been included in canon as a Jedi Master.

This is really cool.

That's really touching that they not only honored him as a Jedi, but actually became part of canon. Definitely deserved, and a really cool way of memorializing someone so brave.

I'm glad that he can be recognized as a hero not only in our world, but in a universe he loved too.
