Signatures!

Hey All,
So i have been teaching myself Adobe After Effects and Davinci Resolve for work for the past two weeks, and to help learn it, I've been working on signatures. I thought they each came out pretty neat and I learned something from each so I've posted them below:
My Original Signature
This was my first attempt and I really just wanted to make something, I wasnt feeling specific.
Signature for Iceman
Ice's signature was an awesome chance for me to learn two different ice creation methods, one with and one without an external ice texture
Signature for Clank:
Clanks signature let me learn decaying rock text, and how to blow stuff up! And a cool matrix-esque ending. I also included a byline, which is from Bert Kreisher's skit "The Machine: The Russian Mob Story" link below if you're interested.

My new signature:
This one was just an excuse to learn how to make a lightsaber and have it slash letters...but i think it came out really well!

They look good. One thing to keep in mind when making stuff like this is file size. Each is 10+ MB(Clanks is almost 25MB!) and if you have several like this on a page it can make the page load slowly for those who don't have fast internet and suck up data for those on mobiles. Some easy ways to cut back is to decrease number of colors and frame rate.

I should decide how big I want the file to be, versus how detailed.
Starting with high res source material is always better IMO (see below).
But John answered my question of how did you get it to look so good... LARGE FILES .... duh, I was scratching my head wondering how you did this magic... 
Kinda spoiled it ... but i still want a Syzyx bowing sig..
How the text appears or animates is a matter for discussion and depends on your afterglow skills I suppose.
I know I want OCRA font, like the ingame chat.
Soo. this is my plan so far..
1. Start Syzyx's server on my Dell laptop, and set the map to T3_rift, or Maybe T3-hevil.
2. Join my personal JAplus server as Lord Syzyx, the council admin uberalles
3. Join my server on my main gaming comp, the HP Z820 with the screaming video card.
3a. Set my resolution on the Z820 to 3840 x 2160, and crank up all video settings to max.
3b. /set Com_MaxFps to ... ummm not sure.. 30 or 60 I suppose.(wondering what the maximum for recording demo is??)
4. Go to spectate on the Z820 and do: /cg_draw2d 0.
(at this point I normally start my /screenshot photo-shoot of my awesome noghriness!).
5. Move 4K camera to my noghriness, Type: /RecordDemo (WHAT ARE THE REAL COMMANDS???)
6. Go back to the Dell laptop and Bow a bunch.
7. Stop the recording. (...need those commands)
8. Locate and convert the files to a format that is best for Afterglow but still allows 4k.
9. Upload the converted, but still large 4K files of me bowing several times at different angles to my google drive.
10. Send a PM to Das Wolf with the link to the file(s).
11. Wait for Das Wolf to work his afterglow/signature magic.
I'm assuming that keeping the files at 4k until the last will give the best details when you do shrink it down to sig size ???
Even if you have to shrink it to work with, I'll still have the original 4k vids to play with in my editor if i can get that far...

That sounds like a plan Syz, I have been exporting as QuickTime AppleHighrez 422 Pro files (spelling might be off) as the videographer at my work suggested that as a best practice. From there we can decide how you want the text to appear/ what you’d like it to do : )
As for recording commands I don’t know them unfortunately (actually haven’t recorded in JKA)

Ok so I was reading about this, some on Jawa clan website.. record demo doesnt save files.. you need: cl_aviDemo x to save JPGs.. thousands of them and then JOIN them together with a JPG to AVI converter... Then you get the high res output, plus X = target framerate.

Wolf invested time into mine because he loves and admires me! It has nothing to do with forced labor !
