I am trying to find out how to merge different .avi files into one.

Let's say i got

C:/DVD/001.avi
C:/DVD/002.avi
C:/DVD/003.avi

I am trying to make them into one (not at the same time, but after 1 comes 2, after 2 comes 3.

C:/DVD/123.avi

--

I am also in need for some kind of program that can add "test" in the video (.avi)

And one program that can 'compress' it to a custom size.
Ex:

C:/DVD/123.avi | 524MB

I want to compress it too 200 MB

C:/DVD/123.avi | 199,89MB (etc, just very close to 200MB)

- - - - - - - -

Don't ask why i need it. The answer would be obvious.

-Thanks

I think what you need to combine parted avi files in HJSplit.

I don't know about specifics in compression, other than being able to split a file with Winrar. Using UHARC or whatever it's called is one of the best compressors I've seen to date, though.

Its pretty much impossible to compress by that amount without deteriation in quality or size.

I have used (and i know this is lame but i used it becasue its alwasy worked) music maker to compress videos and put sound in and out, blue screens etc.. your video compression options are available aswell.. faders in /out effects merge videos.

Probabaly alot of better professional stuff out there though

Actually, i just found this "Windows Movie Maker 2.0" i downloaded.
That solved my 'putting clips together' problem.

And i got this other program that can convert .wmv to .avi or any other formats i would like.
