Howdy all!

So I tried to connect to the server this morning and it said I was banned. So I used my vpn to connect via another ip address. As soon as I connected, I was kicked. So I figured I would post something here and find out whats up. When i logged out last night I said goodbye and had no issues with me. Well anyway hope to get this resolved. Thanks

Kantey, if you connect with a VPN, I believe Jawfin's thingy-ma-bobber's security tightens the more times you try to get around the ban. Also as for the ban in the first place it was probably a range ban.

Whats a range ban? I only used my VPN once just to see if it was a hacker or something, you never know.

Its 3:15 eastern time here. I just checked the server tracker. Kantey is on the server at this moment. He did tell me the other day he had problems connecting to the forums.

A range ban is whereby you attempt to connect and it says Banned immediately even if you are not the target of it. It's probably the most misquoted reason for ban. You were not range banned.

But, neither were *you* banned. I mean, the proxy you use which is also used by script kiddies and trolls was banned, but not you. As stated, VPN are blocked on principle for that reason. The extra latency caused by the extra hops a VPN requires near makes them useless for actually playing a real-time based game.
