Hey guys,

I wanted to do something fun with you guys. This topic is to have a fun way to share music yet ensure that others who care about music actually check out the things you post and then give something in return.

The rules are simple. Post 3 songs all in different genres. Examples being if it's Rock music, then post it up as rock with a link to the song. If it's electronica then state that along with the artist's name of course. The second rule is you need to listen to at least one song from the person from the previous post and comment your opinion. This will help spread the word on good music from all corners of the world, or maybe music that has personal meaning to you. After you've commented on what you listened to post 3 songs you would like to share.

I hope I have your support :D.

Here's my 3 songs. I've seen each of these groups/DJ's live and they are pretty awesome. Yes I can say I love going out dancing, raves, clubs, and seeing live bands. FUN FUN

Ok, I'll play. This is hard, as there are so many to choose. But first comments on your post:

I really like the Tiësto & The Chainsmokers' tune. Not really my thing, but I liked it. The Weeknd and Deorro x Chris Brown songs are great songs. It makes me sad though hearing the use of auto-tune. I miss the old days of the great soul r&b singers who just belted it out... no auto-tune needed.

So with that, for my first selection, I'll start with one of my favorite soul/r&b singers, Joe Tex. The example below actually is a live show that has 3 parts. It truly is fantastic. I recommend watching all 3.

Joe Tex: Show Me
Genre: Soul, R&B

This next one is from a album a couple of years old, but a fantastic song that keeps getting added to new playlists that I make. The band is from Australia (you Aussies have some great music!) and one of my favorites.

Ooga Boogas: A Night To Remember
Genre: Garage punk/rock
https://oogaboogas.bandcamp.com/track/a ... o-remember

This next one is from last year by a pretty new band. I don't know much about them but I am loving this song.

Negative Lovers: Faster Lover
Genre: umm not sure with this one Rock i guess
http://pictureinmyearrecords.bandcamp.c ... ster-lover

And I know you said 3, but I thought I'd throw in another genre that is not rock/r&b and that sadly, many people don't like much: jazz This is one of my favorite songs ever, by one of my favorite musicians: Duke Ellington (in fact the album that this from is one of my favorite of all time)

Duke Ellington: Squeeze Me
Genre: Jazz

Ooga Boogas song - just wanted to say - didn't sound very punk to me xD. Still good nonetheless; but that Ellington track was groovy :>. I love anything jazz/blues, though.

My three would be:

Ghost BC - Secular Haze (Metal - but more of an original metal sound.)

Myuu - Reversion '15 (Classic dark-themed piano.)

Mac Miller - Lua (Acoustic cover)

Battlefield - Battlefield 1943 ( Orchestra War themes. For America! )

John Williams - Star wars ( Orchestra magical themes )

Batman - Batman Arkham Origins/City/Knight ( Super hero orchestra recorded )

@Dald, wrong Weeknd lol....
@AJ, I love that Mac Miller cover. I think I've heard it before but I didn't know what it was until now.

Anyways, here are mine:
1. Send the Pain Below by Chevelle, this song is probably Alternative Metal
2. Beware by Deftones, this song is Alternative Rock
3. Go by Grimes, this song is most likely Experimental TS or normal Trance Step

All three of the groups I mentioned aren't really categorized into just a single genre or another... most bands aren't.

I haven't listened to Chevelle in a long time, Key. Re-added them to some of my playlists.

I'm a metal-head, so everything will be in the subgenres of it, lol. \m/

Born of Osiris - Machine (Deathcore/Progressive-metal) The more progressive, the more technical.

August Burns Red - Meddler (Metalcore) I saw these guys in concert 2 weeks ago!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVI6c0TlM2g

Whitechapel - The Saw Is The Law (Deathmetal) More hardcore than the two before.
