I started up JA for the first time in a few hours, connect to KR server, banned as soon as I entered the game.

Please explain?

I was using a VPN for personal reasons. I don't think that should be an instantly-bannable offence, without even telling me why I'm being banned. I hadn't broken any server rules.

As I said raz0r, you were not banned - it was a proxy which is used by script kiddies to crash other clients. It just so happens you chose to use a proxy the babies use - it was never personal - but that doesn't mean I'm going to poke holes in the server's defense to allow the good guys in.

If for some reason this is now the only way you can connect I can drop the firewall as you connect and reestablish it, but obviously its not something that can be left turned off - too many haters wanting to see the world burn to allow that.

I understand wanting to stop people avoiding bans and that it wasn't directed, it just would have been nice to see a reason. I didn't realise I was still using the VPN when connecting.
For the past 2 years up until now*, an SSTP VPN was the only way I could connect to any server. With the state of the internet these days, VPNs are much more widely used. As a matter of principle I shouldn't be banned for choosing to use a VPN, though I understand wanting to prevent people from avoiding bans.

* my connection is unfiltered now, luckily.
