Tonight I made a long coming return to playing JA

now I havent properly played it for ages, in fact the last serious time I played it I was a KR member before things got too heavy for me to do it all (things much easier now

anyway I actually found teh KR server well it seemed to be struggling lag wise and It wasnt just me... is there a problem?

It may have been something subtle which you do not know about but before I was getting around 120ping on KR server and < 100 UoL server when they had one up around the same time I was in KR.
now im getting like 170+..

maybe its global I dunno ..

It was me lol. I was afk and my dad was uploading files, causing my ping to hit the thousands I only learned now btw

I didn't notice any lag when I played yesterday, and when Darko asked if people were getting lag most of the responses were "No".

okay, it just seemed the server itself was .. well its alot more laggy than it used to be. about 50 ping for me

hmm it seems normal ot me but maby cause im used to playing with high ping

possibly a long term depreciation maybe..

In theory mel ping should be lower since my connection has doubled in both streams up and down.

You know it really turns me on Chan when you talk all IT like... j/k

I have had some laggy issues my end with this god damn linksys router. But i resolved my end now... but i know what you mean about server... could be cos there is too many game add-on files maybe??

heh, i had a worse problem back last september relating to a graphics card that i installed, but forgot to install the drivers, my ping was 999.

Check to see if you have any wierd background tasks taking up all your bandwith, and check that JA is the only really intensive app running.

The game works its just that KR server is particular seems to have gotten a little bit laggier than it used to be thats all.

Blade (ex member) said he found it really bad here aswell

I used to get 120 here andabout 80 on UoLs but now Mel was getting excess of 170 with a medium sized crowd and incrementally there would be a lag on the server which alot of people would feel.

Maybe a log clear or theres excessive old files there.. just a suggestion

that only happened a few times the pause.. the connection was fine , if your all happy with it thats cool, but it is definateley worse than it was.

I'll look into it when I get around to it. Run a few traceroutes and find out if any packets are getting lost.

cool might be a worth while exercise anyway.
