As we all know, Super Smash Bros 4 is coming out, a Wii U and 3DS exclusive, and will have a very interesting choice of characters...

As you might know, SEGA and Nintendo have made a great alliance ever since the second "Mario and Sonic" olympic titles, and are now teaming up on working some of the best Sonic and Mario games in history, for example Sonic Lost World, or Super Mario 3D World (not to be mistaken with 3D Land).

In the new Super Smash Bros 4, they have anounced Mega Man to join the battle, as a new rival to Mario, seeing how Sonic and Mario are now allies. But now, Nintendo has confirmed Sonic will join the battle aswell, so now, Mega Man must fight Mario, and Sonic, along with a couple friendly fights (kinda like in dragonball z where people would beat each other up for fun, happens alot in Mario and Sonic games aswell) between Mario and Sonic.

This is cool but I feel like its not worth the purchase if you already have brawl. It looks nicer but what's the wow factor?

Megaman :o.

But seriously, the wow is this:

New Stages
New Characters
New assistant Trophies
Handheld portability (3DS, and it will be extremely similar to the Wii U version, if not better [there have been cases where the handheld version is better then console])
And HOPEFULLY, a new story mode (it was hinted that there will not be as many cinematic cutscenes, but it is unknown if there will or will not be a story line).

Its kinda like saying "Why get melee if I have the original Super Smash Bros.?"

Then why buy any new game?

I liked Ocarina of Time but I won't buy Wind Waker even though it looks nicer but I know it's pretty much the same game.

I liked Black Ops 2 but I won't buy Ghosts even though it looks nicer but I know it's pretty much the same game.

I liked God of War but I won't buy Dante's Inferno even though it looks cool but I know it's pretty much the same game.

Let's be real for a second here. Most games we play are the same in terms of game play most of the time. Look at the game this clan is based around. How many of you played JO before this? Did you really expect the combat to be that much different? Even so, most people still use single saber, because that's what they were comfortable with in the game preceding this one.

So while you may be right that's there no wow factor, does that mean it's any less of a great game? It's on a new system, with a pre-established franchise with a great fan base, and game play that we know to be is fun. Would you rather they change the game completely between Brawl and this? I highly doubt that.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say the wow factor isn't about the change in game play or anything along those lines, but the characters. What trailer have you seen that focused more on the game play than the roster involved? That's what SSB has turned into. A giant fighting game that is now pulling all of these franchises together to compete and let you play as your favorite character against their rival.

You're not going to get brand new games that are different from pre-established IPs every year. That's impossible. That's why sequels are created, to make them money and to continue the story and/or to update the system with each iteration. Not every game is created to be the designer's magnum opus or to re-define gaming. Some of them are just to make money, or in SSB's case, to create those dream match-ups the fan's have always wanted to see happen.

Funny thing is, this isn't the first time Sonic and Megaman have met each other :o. Before Sonic's new game "Sonic Lost World", Sonic was destroying random badniks, until he met megaman, they fought thinking that megaman was a badnik, until they realized they were both on the same team, and they both later found out that Eggman and Dr.Willy were working together :o.
