Anyways, I love poetry, writtings, and moives. They really express one's inter deep thoughts and beliefs, even if the one writting it doesn't realize it. Thats why I also believe English class is the most important in school, and why its best to be good friends with the English teacher, because they can understand people and their emotions, and their reasons for acting in a specific way.

And about the english teachers; From what you have said, that is quite sad. I believe every English teacher should be quite emotional and should show their students the types of emotions certain poems and stories bring out. But I do understand how some English teachers can be "derpy" as you said. I once had an English teacher in the 10th grade who gave poor examples of literary terms in stories/poems, and who did not really understand some of them. She also didn't give the students much options to express themselves, even when writting essays, she would write down on the board how to start the essay, and if we did not use her beginning, we would recive a zero for the assignment.
Opinions, in my opinion (lol), should be taken into account because they give us options on how to progress our work, and make it better, not to mention it also educates the mind to view different aspects of situations to allow you to write about different situations.
(I to mean no offence btw, I am simply giving my opinions on these matters.)
