I always sabotage their ship from the inside first. Lots of fun to just wreak havoc on them that way. Also a good way to get the precision pistol quickly.

I was more of the precision rifle kind of guy but the pistol works too :P

You don't have the rifle in space if you pick the pilot which is more useful for sabotaging a ship because of their time bombs. The precision pistol does a lot more damage than a regular pistol and has a sniper scope and a silencer on it

And your ship will heal while your a pilot.
