Well, I myself had the same old friends through elementary school. But very soon after 6th grade they started fading away, and eventually by the end of 9th grade I was pretty much a loner. I was still talking with them but the relationships between me and them got colder and I no longer hanged out with 'em. Yet I had this one good friend, who I had known already since before pre-school, he was the one who was always closest to me. After elementary I got further away from him too but he'll always remain my best friend though we dun keep in touch anymore. But it's good that we didn't separate as strangers, but rather just buddies who took different paths. I dun think anybody will ever take his title as my best friend

The time between 7th and 9th grade was what molded much of what I am now, I learned to recognise true friends and got much stronger mentally. Anyway, after elementary I got into this "profession school" or whatever it's called, I got a dozen of nice new classmates and we've all become good friends, a group ^^ Yet I dun hang out with them much either, but they're much closer to me than most of my previous friends and everyday is filled with laughter,.. and of course I have [E] too ^^
So as Nin said before, friends come and friends go. But true friends remain. And being alone is not something you should be too sad about, it's just a good opportunity to learn more about yourself.
