Came across an interesting theory that Snoke actually isn't dead - that he was using an illusion (like how Luke used it to stall the First Order): https://youtu.be/-mZZAvIHMvQ

Not sure how reasonable this is since Snoke doesn't really seem to have any reason to stay dead (how probable is it for him think that would lead to Luke's passing?), but at least for whatever reason it could be one way Snoke's still alive.

And also there's a petition going on to remove EP8 from canon: https://www.change.org/p/the-walt-disne ... cial-canon
I'd usually say it's pointless to petition something like that, but given how much I'm upset with what they did with Luke, thought I'd post that here.

I have a feeling that some of the critics are genuine about the way it was directed and some others were sort of attached to characters. And that their predicted scenarios just didn't happened the way the wanted so they are left frustrated on the whole because the movie simply went to another direction.

Snoke's death, although unexpected was seriously well written and orchestrated.

I felt a bit awkward during the parallel scenes of Rey's Training and the casino scene. Could have been directed better even if the idea wasn't too bad. I liked the duo Finn/Rose.

I enjoyed the duel between Phasma and Finn! That's probably because I expected Finn to use that weapon he use to face in Ep 7 as well.

So many risks have been taken and I think the overall wasn't too bad.

Near perfect film.. misplaced humor. I also feel that it strengthens TFA much more because as I said since the beginning, it using the LOTR format in terms of it's strength being reliant on it's sequel. Honestly on the level of ESB after a very long time of thinking.
