that is really good raven ive brougth you up a notch on my good designers book welldone its amazing just one critic though... its small though, The font. thats all but yea its amazing looking.

No brushes, I just googled black feathers.

I used two pics to make it, one for the base:

Awesome! How did you get the face to have brushes on it? Did you just brush right on the image, or did you do something else?

2 ways:

Render is a layer of its own.. make a new layer on top and brush...

OR

Brush over the render

Well, haha, again I didnt use any brushes, those are real pics.

But all I did was put the feather pic on her face (on a seperate layer that was above her pic layer) and then used a blending mode to make it...well blend in.

You would use the same technique if it was a brush though.

Anyway, I'm glad you like it ^^

There is no background color.

It's just a PNG with an alpha channel - which is a fancy way of saying - there is nothing there, transparent.
