that's weird i don't get that problem though i've heard lots of complaints about it idk maybe i installed jk3 correctly if that's true lol

I know I'm not fully a KR member yet, but I've got my skins I'd like to add in if I could... the first skin in my signiature is a color-customisable Master Chief from Halo CE, which I did not make myself (not sure if you can add it because of that or not, but the main skin post has next to no downloads, so NOBODY has my skin...). The second is a Minecraft skin; I used another person's model (I cant model yet), and skinned my actual Minecraft skin over it, with added shadows from hair and clothes and such, loooks pretty cool. This one also has team support; red team is Herobrine and blue team adds in diamond armor over my skin. Not sure if you can add that one either, but worth a try. Again, I'm not a full member of the KR team yet (still an invite), so I'm not sure if I can be added in. Still good to get my skins up on a post, though. I put them in Google Drive, so someone let me know if you cant download it or if it wont work.

The application I made to build skinpacks creates a really weird outcome for the PK3. For that reason I think something may actually be wrong with the file on some systems. However, it works for me and seemingly others as well.

Don't know if this means anything, but I had trouble when I first got it too. The first launch after I got it, nothing waas there. None of the admins had skins, none of them appeared in the list. Then I deleted it, and did the rightclick->undo delete, and then it worked at the next launch. Strange behavior for a package that doesn't change. It's worth noting that pk3's are literally just renamed zip files, so if you are able to rename the .pk3 to .zip, you can browse inside and see if everything is intact.

Yeup, trust me I'm well aware! That's how my application (which I made, shocker) handles PK3 creation. Which in part is also the reason why I think it's having issues. Something about the way a new .zip is made then converted into a .pk3 creates a strange loss of file structure when viewed with PakScape. All files have extended names with their directories rather than PakScape nicely showing folders. So if you view the PK3 with PakScape you'll see a massive set of files but no folders. I'm 99% sure this is the reason people are having issues, but why it's affecting some and not others is what I'm trying to figure out.

well when i got the skin pack i would make the silly mistake of not saving the pk3 file after downloading it so if you open the file after downloading it it automatically becomes a zip file

Is there a link to download the previous version of the universal skin pack ? Or is there gonna be a new version soon ? Because this version just won't ever work for me, I can't see the skins at all...

Would you mind adding in my skins? I didn't make the Master Chief skin below, but I upscaled the resolution of his visor and I added the letters 'KR' onto his shoulderpieces... The Minecraft skin is my own actual Minecraft skin, with added shadow effects and the KR letters on his chest.

Minecraft will be in main skins menu, Master Chief in customization.

If it's not too late, some stuff was bugging me about my skins and I changed them a bit. Master chief now has an envmap on his visor, so it's shiny and not just a matte block of metal, and Minecraft guy has different material textures all over him now.

It's not too late, those will make it in the build. Ok I am imposing a deadline of this Friday for the last stuff to go in this build. I do believe the game files all load alphabetically, so if you named your model.pk3 to ZMCraft2, it would over-ride what is in the pack.

At least that's what has worked for me when I edit skins.

John is correct. The PK3 name will be loaded alphabetically ... if your model name begins with a letter after "K" (which is the first letter of the USP's PK3 name) then it will overwrite whatever has been loaded by the USP itself

Renaming the PK3 does nothing, it is simply a name not a compiled code / class library which is dependent on its handle.

Sad thing: Still not working! Here's a screenshot of something I found weird when I typed /modellist:

I don't know what's happening... The older version (not the one before this one, an older one) worked fine and the 2 last versions are not working at all.. And it seems to be the same for Rogue too..

Actually, the modellist works for me, it was because of my older version I have, 2 versions way before. The model list pop up fine for me, but I looked at the character menu looks the same. I thought 2 of KR Skinpacks which have KR only and All in it will works. I will test again later by separate, I am not sure if I put both in it if it works that way?

Hey guys I've posted a (hopefully) fixed version of the pack that should fix the problem of the lack of file structure within the pk3 itself and by extension the lack of icons for most of the skins in the pack. Please download and let me know if there are any issues!
