I am believe it or I am a quarter American (mothers half and has family there), although I live in raining England bought up here English most family and sound English.. I do pretty much classify myself as English

However I do have family out in US and some in Canada also..

Just wondered on what people think they are going to vote for

By the way I hope this doesn't turn into a shit fight.

SInce its been a few tough years, I wondered who people thought the right guy to take America forward would be?

I fancy going back over to see some more of it and some family. Mind you there is so much to see over there!

I dont know in detail about individual policies

However

I agree from what I know. Like what you said in the 9/11 thread.

I think he would move in the right direction.. I think Americas direction and disposition would benefit greatly from this, and then economy etc too.

Currently we are almost split down the middle with just a tad more on the Obama side.

Thats good to hear, what I often hear or read is the other way around and McCain has the advantage

Yes its a possibility.

Its quite hypocarcy in a way. Not just US but UK too we'd be guilty of it also..

Preach democarcy is what other countries need etc when we are useless at it ourselves..

The last 10 years have seen both US and UK goveronments act against the will of its people for internal and external affairs and the democarcy or global poltics.

Greeks invented democaracy and we all mess it up..

Thats why a change of leadership is what sometimes can fix your ways, Blair is gone , we have Brown now, not sure if he is long term Can see Cameron as our next PM to be honest.

Can anyone give us a breif on what the differences between Obama and McCain is

What my perspective is which may be toatlly wrong which I think Rich or Chantelel already said was

McCain I get the impression he is another Bush.

Obama sems more about the people and society, while him being black shouldnt be a factor in any sense at all, it is also a refreshing image to move towards.

I just hope that there arent too many backwards thinking people who would resent a black man as president.

I would vote for obama if I could.

I can't fathom why people would have a problem IF Obama was a muslim.

Is he Muslim?

Unfortunateley theres too many what you'd call "rednecks" who are too backward thinking or not open minded enough for that.

No, he's a Christian.

Yes! Go Obama! I can't vote yet but if I could then I would most certainly vote for Obama.

A lot of people think he's Muslim, but it was his FATHER who was Muslim, but he left and his mother raised him as a Christian... or at least I think. o-o

But yea, Obama.

I'm on the Obama Campaign's mailing list and have a very informative link debunking the majority of the BS people spew about him.

I happen to live in Redneckville and hear all kinds of stupid and racist accusations thrown Barack's way.

Here is a good link http://www.fightthesmears.com/

Barack Obama FTW!!!!

I won't get started on McPalin because this post could go on for 3 pages with my rant. :x

Seems its unanimous here then at least.

I Hope that enough Americans choose him to lead the country's new directive. Its a shame that prejudices are still coming an issue in politics.

I hope that the opposition vote for McCain as they believe in him and not because Obama is Black or that as you say Red necks wouldn't have it..
