Hey all! ...ok...so...i feel like half of u don't know me... ... probably because u don't... because of how i'm always inactive/grounded/playing flyff. Anyway... don't expect to see too much of me... ... ...grounded atm...T_T.

Anyway... It's alive! The saber I created that is. This is the "Branch of Rhisis", a wand from Flyff. I created this from scratch, made the 3d model off of a flyff screenshot. Had some mistakes along the way (one of them in particular was great...(a saber extending from my crotch...'nuf said) but i'll have more on that later). Anyway... so only today did i finally read up on how to skin a model in milkshape 3D...so i finally finished it. I think its rather nice... any comments anyone? Also, I intend to make more sabers as well... the whole 3d modeling thing is kinda fun... not taking requests just yet tho, XD.


Btw... this was really my first 3d model, XD, tho i've done a few more since...


Oh...and Raven... if u still have as many random keygens, cracks, and hacks as u used to... u think u could find me one for milkshape 3d buried somewhere? lol. I found one... but it doesn't seem to have worked right... as after awhile the program seems to decide that its still unregistered...lol.


Lol, everyone probably read this and thougth...holy crap, it's him! Oh... btw... anyone wanna give me feedback on my sig as well (its new...and i made it myself as well... ... ...extra credit to whoever can figure out what the japanese means, lol)

Side Note for Aki: Get a job so you can play FFXI again. I started out, and K-1 has been helping my WHM along. I'd like to see your ninja.

I remember Milkshape. I actually still use it once 'n a while because it has a really simple skinning method. For modeling, though, I'd check out 3dsmax. They have a free version (I think it's still free) called GMax, which is usually supported for most games. Basically all you have to do is not violate any copyright laws or some crap. You can read more about it, but it's essentially identical but used for people who don't want to spend the money for 3dsmax and get the full deal, or those who are too lazy to, uh - ahem - download it. It's got my favorite interface, and it's a pretty popular program for modelers. Most of the next generation of games have moved to either Maya or Softimage XSI, though.

lol, I have tried gmax lately... it scares the crap out of me... I was going to try to use it instead of milkshape, due to milkshape having expired on my other computer... but once i opened it... i couldn't figure anything out...lol. Too many buttons. Besides, i've already learned alot about milkshape. ...OMG, while i was typing this, i checked my email and i just got the registration message from gmax... which i registered on monday... lol, and it was supposed to arrive in a few hours at most.

Anyway, heres the additional info that i promised about the beta version of my saber. You see... originally (due to a misunderstanding between me and milkshape...) i didn't know that you had to place a tag where the blade is to go because when i imported another saber as reference, i excluded importing its tags.

This caused JA to not know where the blade was supposed to go... and so it put it in sort of a ...default place... as you can see from the screenshots below. Now... in my opinion, this either shows that the designers of the game were extremely oblivious...or had a nice sense of humor, XD.



The one thing i must say... is that if i ever meet a jedi who uses this saber... and is missing a hand... I will not ask how he lost it...XD.

Oh, and just a note... that's not a light blue saber color... that's a green saber and a blue saber overlapping perfectly, XD.



Also, this accident led to my quote of "I just killed Alora...with my crotch!"



Oh, and i also attacked this turret with my saber...XD, that burn mark is awesome.

Raven, u know of any good sites to find stuff like that? Every time in the past, i've done google searches... but most results are just sites that don't actually have any serials, keygens, cracks, etc...they just seem to pretend they do... or download spyware onto your machine... one or the other, lol.

Oh, and Aki... I didn't use any tutorials to learn milkshape... i just started messing around with it, XD.

...So what does anyone think of my sig or saber? As... no one has really mentioned them yet, XD.
