After watching several videos of gameplay; I am not very impressed. It is very unfinished and lack content. If they cannot hook me in the Alpha; I guess I will be patient enough to wait for Beta or Release version.

Although 7DTD still got its nasty zombie hooks on me..!
Want it, need it...!

Well yeah, it's in alpha, and they admit both on steam and on their site that is isn't anything close to the full version yet. I think if you buy the alpha, you get the full release for free, but idr. From what they have on their site and on steam though, the full release looks like it's going to be pretty solid.

7DTD now have over $300,000 in kickstarter support!

The alpha will be released shortly! Someone have gotten their hands on a pre-alpha copy, and have been streaming a few videos on youtube. I recommend you check it out. Here is the playlist

about star forge i dont even think the first person shooting is that great because you cant zoom in (and i dont know why but that always made a first P shooter really cool for me)

also i've been waiting for a game with good physics like this one has it looks awesome

There is a 50% discount for StarForge on Steam at the moment. Get it while it lasts!

I guess StarForge will become better when it is done in the future, doesn't hurt getting it now.

It's basically a re skinned minecraft with better textures and models. And with zombies added. If it's more than 10$, not buying it. It has a lot of potential though. It's almost an arcade version of DayZ.

7 Days to DIe - Looks very impressive and plays pretty well there are alot of niggles in it but they will be worked out when its in full production I guess. Overall a pretty good game, have only played this briefly had a little trouble keeping my attention focused on it tbh.

Starforge - Having owned this since the Alpha was released I have to say this game will be amazing once they get it to the standard they want... the current release is utterly behind the video (which was of the free version they used to have) This is due to them porting the whole game code into a new updated engine. There is a total competitive fighter feel to it as well but only in certain gamemodes the infinite terrain is truly beautiful to behold

Cubeworld - Amazingly haven't got around to trying this out yet but its more RPG than sandbox like Minecraft from what I see so in the topic I would have to disagree about it being a replacement.

Theres another game I would throw in for consideration http://playstarbound.com/

Although this is more like an updated Terarria.

In short Minecraft will never be replaced in my opinion its far too niche and will always be hailed as the most popular and well known in the voxel sandbox genre :) Also even now its still a massively entertaining game given its current age.

You can make more items, the game is more realistic (block physics), the survival is harder than minecraft.

If we compare this directly to MineCraft; in short; it's an adult version of MineCraft which have more features, more realism and is a fantastic zombie survival game which will be very enjoyable to play with friends!

In other news; They got over 500,000 in kickstarter pledges, so they have alot of features which they will/want to add before the release version; perhaps even before beta.

I am very happy for them.

I think saying it's an adult version of MineCraft is the best way to put it. I personally want to try this game due to the survival and creation aspect of it.

I got the alpha now! It's very awesome (and if I may say so, currently over 10 times better than StarForge).

If anyone else got the alpha and want to do a co-op, let me know!
